You always have the right to request information about your stored data, the recipient, and the purpose of collection, at no expense to yourself. You also have the right to request that it be corrected, blocked, or deleted. To do this, or if you have any other questions about data protection, you can contact us at any time using the address given in the legal notice. You may also, of course, file a complaint with the competent regulatory authorities.

You will find detailed information on this in the following privacy declaration.

is responsible for data processing on this website.

The responsible party is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses, etc.)

Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect. An informal E-Mail to this effect will suffice. A revocation request from you does not apply to data processed prior to your request having reached us.
Right to object to the collection of data in special cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 of the German General Data Protection Regulation – hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”)
If the data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para 1 (e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this data protection statement. If you lodge your objection, we will no longer process your relevant personal data unless we can prove compelling legitimate reasons for the processing which outweigh your interests, rights and freedom, or the processing serves the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims (objection on the basis of Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR).

Where personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purposes of such advertising, including profiling to the extent it is related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will no longer be used for purposes of direct marketing (objection purs. to Art. 21 para 2 GDPR)

Right of complaint with regulatory authorities
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, the persons concerned shall have the right to appeal to a supervisory authority, particularly in the Member State of their habitual residence, workplace or place of presumed infringement. The right of complaint exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability
You have the right to have data, which we process on the basis of your consent, or in fulfillment of a contract, automatically delivered to yourself or to a third party in a standard, machine-readable format. If you require the direct transfer of data to another responsible party, this shall only take place to the extent that it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as the inquiries you send to us as site operator. Encrypted connections can be spotted by the address line of the browser changing from “http://” to “https://”, and by the lock symbol appearing in your browser bar.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be spied-out by third parties.

Disclosure, blocking, deletion and correction of data
Within the scope of prevailing statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to be provided with information free of charge about any of your personal data that is stored, as well as its origin, the recipient and the purpose for which it has been processed. When appropriate, you also have the right to have this data corrected, blocked or deleted. You can contact us at any time regarding this or any other questions on the topic of personal data at the address stated on our imprint page.

Right to request restriction of processing
You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted. You can contact us at any time at the address stated on our imprint page. The right to restrict the processing is given in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. During the period of verification, you have the right to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted.
  • If the processing of your personal data has taken / is taking place unlawfully, you can demand the restriction of data processing instead of data deletion.
  • If we no longer require your personal data but you do for exercising, defending or asserting legal claims, you have the right to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted instead of data being deleted.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 para 1 GDPR, your as well as our interests must be weighed. As long as it has not been ascertained whose interests prevail, you have the right to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

Where processing of your personal data has been restricted, such data – apart from being stored – may be processed only given your consent, or for the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending rights or protecting the rights of another natural or legal person, or on the grounds of an important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

Objection to promotional E-Mails
We hereby expressly prohibit the use of contact data published in the context of the legal notice requirements for websites with regard to the submission of promotional and informational material which was not specifically requested. The website operator expressly reserves the right to take legal action in the event that unsolicited marketing material, for example by means of spam E-Mails, is received.

3. Data collection on our website
Cookies

Some of our webpages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies help make our website more user-friendly, efficient and secure. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted after leaving our website. Other cookies remain in your device’s memory until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser when you visit the website again.

You can configure your browser in a way so you get informed whenever a cookie is set, and you can choose on a case-by-case basis whether or not to allow this. You can also set up your browser to prohibit the setting of cookies in general, and/or to delete cookies automatically when you close the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Cookies which are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process, or to provide certain functions desired by you (e.g. shopping basket function), are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies, so his services are provided in a technically sound and solid manner. If other cookies (such as those used to analyse your surfing behaviour) are also stored, they will be treated separately in this Data Protection Statement.

Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information in “server log files”, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This is:

  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system in use;
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer;
  • time of the server request
  • IP address

A combination of this data with other data sources will not take place.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically fault-free display and optimization of his site; for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Contact form
If you send us any inquiry through our contact form, the details stated on the form, including the contact details your enter there, will be stored by us for the purpose of dealing with your inquiry and in case of any follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your permission.

Thus, the data entered in the contact form will only be processed given your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 (a) GDPR), which you may revoke at any time. An informal E-Mail to this effect will suffice. The legitimacy of your data having been processed by the time of your revocation is not effected thereby.

We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer applies (e.g. after handling your inquiry has been completed). Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.

Inquiry by E-Mail, telephone or fax
If you contact us by E-Mail, telephone or fax, your request, including all ensuing personal data (name, nature of inquiry), is stored and processed by us for the purposes of processing your request. We will not share this data without your permission.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 par. 1 (b) GDPR, provided your request is related to the performance of a contract, or necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual arrangements. In all other cases, the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 par. 1 (a) GDPR) and / or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para 1 (f) GDPR), as we have a legitimate interest in effectively processing the requests addressed to us.

We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until its deletion is requested, your consent for storage is revoked, or the purpose for its storage is no longer applicable (e.g. after handling your inquiry has been completed). Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected.

Facebook plugins (like & share buttons)

Plugins are integrated on this website for the social network referred to as Facebook, provided by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. Facebook plugins can be recognized by the Facebook logo or the “like button” on our website. An overview of Facebook plugins can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

When visiting our site, the plug-in will establish a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Thereby, Facebook receives the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook “like button” while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our web pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate visits to our website with your user account. Please note that we, as the provider of these web pages, do not have any knowledge of the content of the data transmitted to, or of their use by Facebook. For more pertinent information, please take a look at Facebook’s privacy statement at https://en-gb.facebook.com/policy

If you do not wish Facebook to associate your visit to our web pages with your Facebook user account, please log out from the latter.

The use of the Facebook plugins is based on Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR. The website operator has a justified interest in the widest possible visibility on social media.

Instagram plugin
Functions of the Instagram service are integrated into our site. These functions are provided by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA.

If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can click the Instagram button to link the content of our webpages to your Instagram profile. This will allow Instagram to associate your visit to our website with your user account. Please note that we, as the provider of these webpages, do not have any knowledge of the content of the data transmitted to, or of their use by Instagram.

The use of the Instagram plugin is based on Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR. The website owner has a justified interest in the widest possible visibility on social media.

5. Plugins und tools

YouTube with extended data protection
Our website uses YouTube plugins. The operator of those pages is YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

We use YouTube in the extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode causes YouTube not to store any information about the visitors to this website unless they watch the video. Disclosure of data to YouTube partners is, however, not mandatorily excluded by the extended data protection mode. So, regardless of whether you are viewing a video or not, YouTube will establish a connection to the Google DoubleClick network.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on our website, you will be linked to the YouTube servers. The YouTube server is thereby informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to directly associate your surfing habits with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

In addition, YouTube can store different cookies on your device once you started a video. By means of these cookies, YouTube can gather information on the visitors of our website. Such information is being used inter alia to capture video statistics, to improve user-friendliness and to prevent fraud attempts. The cookies will remain on your device until you delete them.

As the case may be, starting a YouTube video may trigger further data processing operations, an event which we have no influence in.

YouTube is used in favour of our online presence becoming more attractive. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR.

For more information about data protection at YouTube, please view their privacy statement at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

Google Web Fonts
This website uses so-called web fonts provided by Google to support the uniform display of fonts. Google fonts are installed locally. No connection to the Google servers is established thereby.

Google Maps (by consent)
This site uses the Google Maps service via an API, provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

When you first visit our website, Google Maps is deactivated to ensure data protection on the site. A direct connection to Google’s servers will only be established if you enable Google Maps independently (which constitutes your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para 1 (a) GDPR). This prevents your data being transmitted to Google as early as first accessing the website.

As soon as activated, Google will store your IP address, which will subsequently be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this website has no influence on this data transfer once Google Maps has been activated.

Further information about the handling of user data can be found in Google’s privacy statement at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

Google reCAPTCHA
We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on our website, which is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).

reCAPTCHA is applied to check whether the data input on our website (e.g. on the contact form) has been entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyses the behaviour of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as visitors access the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor remains on the website, or user mouse movements). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to Google.

reCAPTCHA analyses take place entirely in the background. Visitors are not being advised thereof.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR. The website owner has a legitimate interest in protecting his web offers from abusive automated snooping and spam.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’. These are text files that are stored on your computer and allow your use of the website being analysed. The information about your use of the website which is generated by the cookies will usually be transmitted to and stored in a Google server located in the United States.

IP anonymization
We have activated the IP anonymization feature on this website. Prior to transmission to the US, your IP address will be truncated by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the entire IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, compile reports regarding website activity, and provide other services to the website operator related to usage of the site and the internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not associated with other data by Google.

Browser plug-in

You can prevent the use of cookies by selecting the corresponding settings on your browser. However, we would like to point out that, if you do this, you may not be able to fully utilise all functions provided on this website. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies and related to the use of the site (incl. your IP address) from being passed to, and the processing of these data by Google: download and install the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

For more information about how Google Analytics handles user data, view Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en

Contract data processing
We have entered into a contract with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and have fully implemented the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic features of Google Analytics
This website uses the “Demographic Features” function of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be generated which contain particulars about age, gender and interests of the website visitors. This data is derived from interest-based advertising by Google and third-party visitor data. This collected data cannot be attributed to any specific individual person. You can disable the feature any time by adjusting the advertisement settings in your Google account, or you can generally ban the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section “Objecting to the collection of data.”

Data protection provisions for the application and use of Google AdWords
The party responsible for data processing has integrated Google AdWords into this website. Google AdWords is an internet advertising service that allows advertisers to run ads in both Google’s search engine results as well as the Google Network. Google AdWords allows advertisers to pre-define certain keywords by which ads in Google’s search engine results are only displayed when users use the search engine to retrieve a keyword-relevant search result. In the Google Network, ads are distributed to thematically relevant websites by means of an automatic algorithm and taking the previously defined keywords into consideration.

The services of Google AdWords are operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.

The purpose of Google AdWords serves the advertisement of our website by displaying interest-relevant advertising on the sites of third parties and in the results of Google’s search engine, as well as third-party advertising on our website.

If anyone concerned reaches our website via a Google advert, a so-called conversion cookie will be deposited on that person’s IT system by Google. Cookies have already been explained above. A conversion cookie loses its validity after thirty days and is not used to identify the person concerned. Unless expired, the conversion cookie is used to trace whether certain sub-pages, such as the shopping cart of an online shop system, were accessed on our website. The conversion cookie enables both us and Google to track whether any person who accessed our website through an AdWords ad has generated revenue, i.e. has completed or cancelled any purchase of goods.

The data and information collected through the use of the conversion cookie is used by Google to generate visitor statistics for our website. We use these statistics to determine the total number of users who have been referred to us via AdWords, i.e. to determine success or failure of our respective ad, and to optimise our future AdWords advertisements. Neither our company nor other Google AdWords advertisers receive information from Google that could identify the persons concerned.

The conversion cookies store personally identifiable information, such as the web pages visited by the person in question. Thus, whenever our website is visited, personal data, including the IP address of the internet connection used by the person concerned, is transmitted to Google in the US. Any such personal data is stored by Google in the United States of America. It is possible that Google will disclose such personal data collected through the technical process to third parties.

As already described above, the person concerned can prevent cookies being set by our website at any time by adjusting the appropriate setting of the internet browser used and will thereby object to cookies being set on a permanent basis. A pertinent browser setting will also prevent Google from placing a cookie on the person’s IT system. Moreover, a cookie already set by Google AdWords can be deleted at any time through the internet browser or other software programmes.

Furthermore, the person concerned may opt to object to interest-related advertising by Google. To facilitate this, the person must access www.google.com/settings/ads from every single internet browser in use and enter the desired settings there.

Additional information and Google’s data protection provisions can be retrieved at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/
